Home Stretch

We have reached the third trimester!! On Friday I was 28 weeks. It is getting crazy to think that in just 12 short weeks our sweet baby boy will be here. We have ordered his furniture and are hoping it will arrive in two or so weeks. Saturday I will be traveling to Jacksonville with the girls for Alexis' baby shower. It will be nice to get away for a day and night and also hit the beach! I have gone to the pool last weekend and today to work on some tan and am feeling pretty confidant in my two piece suit! :) Caden is moving around like crazy and it's so neat to see him doing whole body rolls in there. I am making much more frequent trips to the bathroom and sleep during the week has been getting tougher. Can't wait to see what the next 12 weeks bring. We start our child birthing class the first Monday of April! So excited!!!

21w 3d Doctors Appointment

Today I saw my OB, Dr. McKinney. She is such a sweet lady, and I am so happy to have her as my OB. I am at a total of 2 pounds for weight gain and blood pressure was perfect. I had to sign a consent for Caden's circumcision and got all my paperwork to get my glucose test in about 3 weeks! I got my bump measured for the first time and it's measuring right on track! She found Caden's heartbeat right away and it was good and strong!

I was so happy to get an A+ at my appointment. I am happy I am feeling him move and can't wait until Josh can feel it on the outside!!

A crazy wonderful weekend!!

Friday I got off work at 4:30 and immediately raced home to meet my mom. We were headed to Crestview (near Ft. Walton) to make it to my little brother Paul's baby shower at 6:00 pm. It's a little over 2 hours to get there and they are an hour behind us. We were planning on spending the weekend at the beach, but a certain someone had a different plan...

We got info that my sister in law Meredith may, or may not, be in labor!! Her due date wasn't until February 10th so everyone was on alert! My mom and I both really wanted to be there for the birth, but also really wanted to be there for Paul and Alyssa at their shower. We made it to Crestview right on time for the shower, getting text updates from Joel the whole way there on Meredith's status.

The shower was a ton of fun and all of their friends were so nice. They had a great game where they drew a giant picture of Paul as a baby and it was pin the diaper on the Paul! It was a great time and the parents to be (in April)were glowing the whole time! We left the shower about 8:30 and raced toward Tallahassee! The baby hadn't come yet!

Somehow we avoided a speeding ticket and made it back to Tallahassee about 11:30pm. We were do happy to be at the hospital since all of our family happened to be out of town this weekend! We anxiously sat in the waiting room with other family members. Josh met us there when he got off work as well. Then the announcement came, Kaisley Reese Geddings was here!!! Born at 12:07am on February 4th. She weighed in at 5lbs 13oz and 19".

We waited for what seemed like forever for Joel to come out! I think it was after 1:00am we saw him walk through the door smiling from ear to ear!! My mom and I immediately ran and gave him big hugs!! He let us be two of the first ones in the room. It was such a special moment when I saw my sweet new niece. Meredith looked amazing and was chatting up a storm! Wasn't even like she had just given birth and she was just glowing. We spent a good amount of time in the room and Josh came in. He looked at Kaisley in amazement and was even a little nervous to touch her. It was so cute. We didn't get to hold her since she still needed her bath and there was still a lot of family to come in so we left around 2:00am and headed to Waffle House.

Back in the day Waffle House at 2:00am was delicious after a night of drinking. When you're pregnant and sober, not so much!! Lol!

Saturday was another waiting day to go see Miss Kaisley. I headed to the hospital and could hardly contain my excitement!! I spent about 2 hours with Joel, Meredithand Kaisley and is was the best ever. Just cuddling her and staring at her perfect place. Joel slept while Meredith and I gabbed about well just about everything!

I'm going to be heading up today as well. Just can't get enough of her!! All in all this was the craziest, best weekend ever!!

It's a..........

BOY!!!!!!!!!

At 18w5d today we found out we are having a sweet baby boy!! We are beyond thrilled for this little miracle baby!! Let the shopping and preparations commence!!! We cannot wait until the arrival of Caden Eli in June!!

Congratulations to my preggo twin Alexis and her husband Kyle!!! They are expecting a baby girl, Blakeslee!!

A Personal Pregnancy Milestone

So I have noticed recently that I have quit doing a very important thing. I am no longer checking the toilet paper after every time I go to the bathroom! Some people may see this as an odd habit, but after experiencing two miscarriages I just couldn't help being on blood lookout. I have had no bleeding at all during this pregnancy which makes us two very happy expectant parents!! I am getting over a nice strong dose of the crud, and it seems as though my first trimester negative symptoms have passed. I'm very excited for this stage of pregnancy.

We are looking forward to our next two appointments. We are hoping we will learn the sex on the 9th of this month. If not we will find out for sure on the 18th of this month. Josh's 26th birthday is on the 27th and I cannot believe I will be exactly 20 weeks!! Half way through!! Time flies when you're having fun and this is the best time of our lives!! :)

Franzie Has Tiny Hands?

Wednesday morning I had an appointment. It was the first one I went by myself, so all the waiting was quite boring. I saw Dr. Franz this visit and he was super nice. I had heard about his strange small hands, so when he shook my hand I made sure to take notice! Haha! They were rather small and stumpy and were kind of sideshow looking. I hear his vaginal "inspection" is not so comfortable. Luckily this was just a check up. I haven't gained any weight yet and Franzie said I could gain up to 30 pounds!! No chance Franzie!!! I do need to get into a good exercise routine though. As soon as it was time to find the heartbeat it popped right up. I was so relieved. It was in the 160's so nice and strong. We go next month on the 18th to find out the sex! We are so so excited and can hardly wait. We have no clue what we will be having. I think though we have already decided on names (quite amazing it happened so quick! Lol)but who knows they could always change!! I have been feeling pretty good although brushing my teeth is still a challenge. Headaches are getting better and energy is picking up a bit. I am thankful to be having pregnancy symptoms, so I know my little peanut is growing. I will be 14 weeks tomorrow and am excited to officially usher in the second trimester!! I will see Dr. McKinney (my ob) in four weeks. Super stoked for each passing month!! Now we are busy getting ready for the holidays!!

P.s. my little brother and his girlfriend have decided on the name Madelyn Ann! She is going to be so cute and perfect!!

P.s.s. Alexis finally came out with her news and I am excited to say she is my preggo twin!! Lol!! We are both due June 15th! What are the odds!? Congrats Rojas family!!
